2025's first quarter...

The year is certainly flying by. End of March already.

At least the sun has begun to shine in earnest.

It’s been a hectic start to the year fulfilling print orders; that you to everyone who ordered theirs over the Christmas and New Year period.

So far, this year I have been working on new still life paintings. I decided to go with a ‘dark and light’ approach, just to make things more challenging, and I’m very pleased with the results. These paintings will be for sale soon on the ‘Original Paintings’ website here:

While working on these I’ve also been out scouting locations for new ‘en plein air’ expeditions so once the weather is better I’ll be out and about again. If you see me, please feel free to stop by and say ‘hello’.

I’m looking at a new series of sea scapes, some landscapes and also a few ‘Exmoor Ponies’ scenes. While visiting the ponies to sketch and take reference photo’s I have definitely fallen in love with these beautiful custodians of the Moor.

There will also be a new You Tube channel coming soon. That’s been fun trying to create and figure out how to get the filming and editing processes sorted. Hopefully you’ll jump on and subscribe once I go live with it. I’ll post links in the next blog.

The channel will be a light hearted look behind the scenes, a few hints and tips about some great locations and a few videos of the paintings coming together from reference to completion as well as a few ‘over the shoulder’ on location. Should be fun.

In the mean time there is a lot to get done..........
